Health for Undocumented Migrants

Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) Finland promotes access to healthcare for undocumented migrants. We believe health is a fundamental human right that belongs to everyone, regardless of legal status. We are committed to supporting healthcare professionals in providing ethical, high-quality care to all.

Healthcare is a Human Right, Not a Privilege

Undocumented migrants in Finland face significant barriers to accessing healthcare. Limited awareness of their rights, fear of authorities, and the complexity of the healthcare system often prevent individuals from receiving the care they need.

We work to ensure that every individual’s right to health is realized in practice.

Health Advice and Support

We provide free health advice to undocumented migrants and their families. Our support also extends to professionals and volunteers working with this group. Additionally, we facilitate group activities that promote health and well-being among undocumented migrants.

Training for Professionals

We strengthen the knowledge and skills of healthcare and social service professionals and students. We offer expert training and educational materials on how to encounter undocumented patients ethically and in compliance with current legislation.

Collaboration and Networks

We collaborate closely with a wide range of organisations and partners in Finland and internationally.Rätten till hälsa är en mänsklig rättighet, inte en förmån
