Development Cooperation

Everyone has the right to health. We promote global health equity by strengthening healthcare services, training local professionals, and building sustainable solutions together with our partners.

The goal of PSR’s development cooperation is a world where the right to health is realized equitably. We operate in remote areas and work with communities in vulnerable situations to ensure that healthcare reaches everyone. Currently, we are active in Benin, Nepal, Kenya, and Somalia.

Strengthening Health Rights

We support the development of mental health services, the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of women and girls with disabilities, and the prevention of infections among mothers and newborns. Our work is rooted in partnership, evidence-based knowledge, and justice: we do not export ready-made solutions; instead, we build them in collaboration with local actors.

Towards Sustainable Change Together

Building sustainable change is at the core of everything we do. When others provide acute aid, we focus on long-term efforts that are essential to strengthen healthcare systems, prevent issues before they arise, and improve people’s access to care well into the future. At the same time, we offer our members and volunteers the opportunity to apply their expertise as part of a global movement to promote health.
