Over the last 17 years, Physicians for Social Responsibility Finland (PSR) has developed an extensive programme to improve tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics and treatment in Somalia. In this time, we have run multiple clinics and built a national reference laboratory capable of supporting clinical laboratories and producing data on drug resistant TB strains. Now we are in the process of handing over the work to the National TB Programme.
To celebrate 17 years of tuberculosis work, we are organizing a seminar on the 18th November simultaneously in Hargeisa and Helsinki to explore what we have learned and how the fight against tuberculosis affects people in fragile contexts. The seminar will be held hybrid. We kindly request registration to the online and Helsinki event at the latest by 12.11.2023, please register here.
